Mitchell Goh – Founder of GetPaid

Tell us about GetPaid and its unique offering.

What’s the hardest part of being a founder?

“Being pushed out of my comfort zone. I remember needing to design marketing materials despite having no experience in that area.”

What’s been your happiest moment as a founder?

“Building a great team that believes in the company’s mission. Seeing them fully buy into our vision is incredibly rewarding.”

How did you prepare GetPaid for the market?

“We researched markets where EWA is prevalent, tested our MVP, and built credibility by getting accredited by the Singapore Fintech Association and forming an advisory board.”

Tell us about your fundraising experience.

“Our first fundraising came from an angel investor in the industry we’re trying to disrupt. I pitched to him with the idea of diversifying his portfolio, and 15 minutes into the meeting, he said yes!”

What’s next for GetPaid?

“Our three-year goal is to introduce the EWA concept to Singaporean companies and establish GetPaid as the foremost EWA brand in the country. In five years, we aim to have a presence in every major city in Southeast Asia.”
